JP Maheu Out at Publicis Modem

By Kiran Aditham

Sources familiar with the matter confirm that Jean-Phillipe Maheu, who was tapped to serve as Publicis Modem’s worldwide CEO two years ago, is no longer with the agency. From what we’ve been told, Maheu’s aforementioned position has been “eliminated” as the digital departments will now report to regional CEOs in the network.

Prior to Modem, Maheu spent three years as chief digital officer at Ogilvy North America, replacing Martin Reidy, who left for a marketing gig at Meredith. Maheu’s exit comes six months after then-president Dani Nadel left Publicis Modem to take a position at Scholastic. During his career, the New York-based Maheu also served as CEO of Razorfish for six years.
