Joe Maglio Joins McKinney New York as Its First CEO

Joe Maglio joined Durham, North Carolina-based agency McKinney as the first CEO of its New York office, Adweek reported yesterday.

Maglio arrives at McKinney following five years with Havas New York, most recently spending a year as its managing director. He joined Havas as a group account director back in May of 2012 and worked with clients including Charles Schwab, Reckitt Benckiser and TD Ameritrade. He joined Havas from Publicis, where he spent over a year and a half as senior vice president, group account director on Citibank. Prior to that he spent around four and a half years as partner, marketing director for Ogilvy & Mather, working on the agency’s DuPont, Time Warner Cable, Marsh and New York Public Library accounts. He also co-founded Yankee Stadium’s The Mozzarella Joint with Mitch Cynamon.

“We decided to use the CEO title to signal our ambitions in [the New York] market and make clear that we are looking to become a much bigger presence up there,”McKinney partner and CEO Brad Brinegar told Adweek. “We’re building on what we’ve accomplished so far; we have a very healthy base with our experiential marketing group.”
