JetBlue Taps Rokkan as Digital AOR

By Kiran Aditham

With those rumors of acquisitions seemingly behind it, New York-based shop Rokkan has made a major play by winning the digital duties for JetBlue, which was previously handled by HUGE. No worries about Mullen, though, as the agency continues to serve as creative and media AOR for the airliner, but now, the pair will “work closely” together. Rokkan’s tasks as digital AOR, you ask? Well, as the job demands, the agency will handle digital executions, social, mobile and more.

So why Rokkan? In a statement, JetBlue’s director of e-commerce and interactive marketing Michael Stromer says the agency “…brings the same level of passion and dedication for innovation to digital solutions that JetBlue embodies for reinventing the travel experience, The agency’s success with a strong portfolio of consumer brands like Atlantis, Chipotle and Google speaks to their ability to create unique and meaningful campaigns that truly engage the customer.  As New York’s Hometown Airline, the Rokkan team – also based in New York – is a perfect extension of our digital brand.”
