Jason Lucas Joins Publicis Seattle as EVP/ECD

By Patrick Coffee

Jason PublicisPublicis Seattle announced the appointment of Jason Lucas to the EVP/ECD position, effective immediately.

Lucas will specifically handle creative on the T-Mobile account as the client attempts to further distance itself from Sprint and AT&T.

The release tells us that Lucas’s hiring marks a new stage in the agency’s development as it aims to take on “a variety of new clients.”

The incoming ECD, who has already relocated to Seattle, brings an extensive agency history to the West Coast: he most recently served as CD at VML/Y&R for approximately 18 months after leaving BBDO New York, and his client work at the former shop included Valvoline and Campbell’s V8.

After spending much of his early career in graphic design positions, Lucas worked at TBWA\Chiat\Day from 2001 to 2007, winning several awards for his work with Absolut Vodka. After moving to Deep Focus, he then spent nearly three years at BBDO and earned accolades for M&M’s “pretzel launch” and FedEx’s “DropWatch app” campaign.

Lucas will report directly to CCO Andrew Christou, who writes:

“Jason’s a bottle of lightning, a high-character guy who is uber-creative and whip smart…His addition to an already talented team will make our agency and our work even better.”
