It Took the Weekend, but CM Confirms KeyBank Win

By Kiran Aditham

After getting neither confirmation nor denial as of last Friday, Minneapolis’s Campbell Mithun finally sent us a note this morning that it’s been the given the go-ahead to announce it indeed has picked up the KeyBank business. While CM won’t be responsible for the media buying portion, the agency has been named AOR for Cleveland-based KeyBank in terms of creative (i.e. TV, print, digital, etc.), brand and media planning.

We suppose you can call this a rebound of sorts for Campbell Mithun, which endured a couple of client losses over the past few months including Famous Footwear (well, they resigned the account apparently) and Syngenta. As for KeyBank, this marks the first time since 2008 that the company is assigning full campaign responsibilities to a specific agency (last one was Cramer-Krasselt). For the last three years, the company has been working on a project basis with a variety of shops including Martin | Williams.
