Huge Cuts Some Staff

By Kiran Aditham

We’ve received confirmation that Brooklyn-based, IPG-owned Huge did let go of some staff yesterday. From what we’ve been told by those in the know, approximately 15 people, or less than three percent of total staff, were affected by Huge’s move, which is the last part of the agency’s reorganization that has been going on for the past nine months.

According to the Huge camp, the reorganization includes merging  product design and user experience groups and bringing in “a lot more senior staff across the board.” As for those affected by yesterday’s cuts, the Huge folks tell us that “we are doing everything we can to help them with the transition, including, where there’s interest, helping to identify opportunities inside the IPG network for them.”

On a completely unrelated note, we’ve also come to learn that Huge creative director Clayton Crocker, has left the agency (this was announced before yesterday’s cuts). Crocker has spent the last two years at Huge, and has had creative stints at the likes of Dentsu and Berlin Cameron United during his career. No word yet on where he’s headed to next.
