Here’s a Quick Update on Some Ad Folks’ Sandy Relief Efforts

By Kiran Aditham

We knows folks from Barbarian Group, DiGennaro Communications and others have made their way down to the hardest hit areas like the Rockaways to help out Hurricane Sandy victims, and here’s just a quick update on other agency efforts. New York-based Night Agency is doing its own thing called “Let’s Rebuild NY“, which offers t-shirts of all sizes with 100 percent of going to the Red Cross to help those affected by Sandy.

Meanwhile, dozens of ladies ranging from EPs to directors of biz dev from the likes of BBDO, JWT, Razorfish, Grey, Anomaly and McGarryBowen have been taking part in Sandvertising, which provides a platform to donate and find out about volunteer opportunities. Finally (for now), we have “Drawing Relief” (below) the brainchild of creatives, Angelle Juneau and Jeff Scardino, who like many were without power due to the Sandy and in turn, decided to make the best of it by  creating art in the dark in the form literal blind contour drawings. The end results are on sale with proceeds going to ed Cross Hurricane Relief Fund and the Humane Society Animal Relief Fund. Go here and help out if you’re feeling it.
