If it weren’t for the tagline, “Would You Have a Drink With You?”, in this new Stoli campaign from Ogilvy, we’d just assume Hef is going senile or he’s having one of those Jack Nicholson in the The Shining moments. Nope, it’s just robe-wearing playboy Hef and Playboy magnate Hef trying to answer the question while enjoying some vodka and shooting the shit about being both a businessman and ladies man.
According the NYT‘s Media Decoder, O&M’s latest Stoli campaign costs $18.3 million and will feature two more as-yet-unnamed celebrities by year’s end. While we question the potential underlying themes of solipsism and vanity, we’ll have to at least give credit to Ogilvy for leaving us stumped with the aforementioned Stoli tagline.
