Heath Rudduck Lands at Campbell Mithun

One day after we mentioned the departure of some veteran staffers, Campbell Mithun has bounced back and announced that it’s hired Heath Rudduck as its chief creative officer. If you recall, Aussie native Rudduck “left” Digitas Boston last summer after spending three years as an EVP/ECD and sent a nice note explaining why.

Rudduck, who assumes his post today, will work alongside CM president/director of integrated client services Rachel Marret, with the goal being to  fill the void created by the recent departure of former president and CCO Jonathan Hoffman and steer Campbell Mithun towards a “digital-centric future.” I think we first heard that phrase at Epcot Center’s Tomorrowland. Anyhow, during his time at Digitas, Rudduck helped the Boston office double its P&G business and land the Aflac and Goodyear accounts. In a statement, his new partner-in-crime Marret sings his praises, saying, “Heath has a unique depth of technical knowledge, which fortifies our already strong ability to create rich consumer experiences that drive real business impact.”

Before landing Stateside, Rudduck (who some thought would return to the land Down Under) worked his way up from AD posts at Clemenger BBDO and Y&R to digital lead roles at Tribal DDB Australia and DDB Melbourne.
