GS&P Strengthens Creative Department with Senior Design, Digital Hires

Goodby Silverstein & Partners appointed Chris Peel as director of design and Mike Kellogg as technology director. In their roles, Peel will be tasked with heading the design department, while Kellogg will lead the agency’s BETA team in developing and producing internal digital work.

Peel arrives at GS&P from The Martin Agency, where he has served as vice president, associate creative director for the past four years, after starting at the agency as a senior designer in August of 2010. While with The Martin Agency he worked with brands including Oreo, Ritz and Tic Tac. Prior to joining The Martin Agency, Peel spent over three years as a designer with Saatchi & Saatchi L.A., where he focused on the agency’s Toyota account. He has also worked as a designer with Bespoken Clothiers, and as an art director with Haymerket Publishing and Rat Tail Distribution.

Kellogg arrives at the agency from facefaceface, the web development company he founded with his wife in March of 2006 which served clients including Google, Adobe, Chanel, Sprint and Nintendo. Prior to co-founding facefaceface, he spent a year as partner, web developer with Enjoy Greener Grass, where he animated and programmed websites for ad agencies.

“GSP and I have done so much great work together over the years I practically already worked here,” Kellogg said. “Now that I’m on the inside I can’t wait to have my digital paws all over the creative process.”

“As more and more of our work relies on technology and design we knew it was important to reinforce our creative department with new leadership,” said executive creative director Margaret Johnson. “Peel’s outstanding work struck a chord with us and we believe his artistic eye is exactly what we need to take our design to the next level. We’ve been partnering with Kellogg for years. His work on our Sprint Now Network campaign won worldwide attention. We are thrilled to bring his technical ingenuity in house.”
