GSD&M Promotes 2 Creatives

tom hamlingAustin’s GSD&M promoted two of its veteran creatives this week: CDs Tom Hamling and Tim Eger are group creative directors, effective immediately.

More specifically, Hamling (right) will run creative on the Hilton Global Portfolio, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Avocados from Mexico accounts. Eger will continue working with Hamling on those accounts as well as Hilton Hotels and Resorts and new business pitches.

tim egerHamling, who spoke to us about the Avocados Super Bowl ad back in January, joined the GSD&M team in 2013 after spending nearly three years as VP/CD at RPA and two years at 180LA, where he worked on adidas, Sony, HBO and other accounts. Sources claim that his skills include the ability to “make 82 one-handed free throws in a row while crushing a Coconut La Croix,” which is impressive primarily because that stuff is kinda gross.

Eger has been with GSD&M since 2011 and previously served as an art director at CP+B. Both GCDs report directly to CCO Jay Russell (also formerly with CP+B).
