Grey Spain Has a New CEO

By Erik Oster

David Patton, president and CEO of Grey Group Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) announced the appointment of Javier Suso as CEO of Grey Group Spain yesterday. Suso replaces John Lynn, who is leaving the agency to take on a regional leader role for Y&R and Wunderman across Latin America.

Suso arrives at Grey from VCCP Spain, where he has served as a managing director since co-founding the agency in July of 2012. During his tenure, VCCP Spain has become one of the fastest growing agencies in Spain, winning 64 awards in the process and working with clients including Google, Microsoft, Dockers, Telefónica and Suzuki. Prior to VCCP Spain, Suso spent nearly five years with Madrid agency Shackleton as a managing director. He originally joined Shackleton as a strategy planning director three years earlier, working his way up to the managing director role.

“I’m really excited by Javier’s appointment,” said Patton. “He’s got a brilliant strategic and creative mind and has proved himself as a strong and decisive agency leader adept at both client management and new business. He’s a modern day leader with infectious energy and a zest for life that will truly invigorate our agency and I’m sure will bring a massive smile to our clients’ faces.”
