Grey Poupon’s ‘Society of Good Taste’ Has Deemed Us Worthy

By Kiran Aditham

Well, guess the second time’s the charm as yours truly finally (and barely) made the grade in Grey Poupon’s “Society of Good Taste.” The new, Facebook-based effort from CP+B marks the advertising return of the “refined” Kraft Foods mustard brand after a 15-year hiatus (here’s a variation of the classic Grey Poupon ads of old).

How it works is pretty simple: Pop on some headphones, visit the “Society” Facebook page and watch a handful of uppity, high-society types break down your profile and give you a score based on everything from proper grammar to check-ins to movie tastes to books read. We’re a little baffled, though, because the first time we gave it a whirl, we scored a miserable 27 while the second time earned us a spot in the 67th percentile. Ah well, we’re not ones to complain (and we did eventually fare better on this than the Ultimat “Social Life Audit”). Those who score high and gain membership to the Society of Good Taste will earn a badge of honor and have the opportunity to win prizes in the ensuing weeks.

In addition to the Facebook app, Grey Poupon’s new official website is completely Pinterest-based.
