Grey NY CSO Calls it Quits

By Kiran Aditham

A Grey New York spokesperson has confirmed that Pele Cortizo-Burgess, who joined the agency’s flagship office as EVP/chief strategy officer back in February 2010, is leaving at the end of next week. For the time being, Suresh Nair, who currently serves as global EVP of strategic planning, is going to double as the New York office’s planning head and run the group.

Cortizo-Burgess joined Grey from ITV in London, where he held the title director of creative strategy. During his career, Cortizo-Burgess spent time at Goodby, where he led planning efforts for the “Got Milk” campaign and had a stint as EVP/director of planning and research at what was then FCB New York.
