Gap Logo, Meet Crap Logo

By Kiran Aditham

Apparently, “rogue Barbarians” were behind this new site “Crap Logo” that lets you enter in any text and watch a mockery of Gap’s much-loved redesign unfold. Over the past day or two, a fake Twitter account has popped up and the logo change is already being compared to Arnell’s Tropicana flop.

A Gap spokesman sounds delusional and seems oblivious to the hate. In a statement posted on Facebook, they say, “Thanks for everyone’s input on the new logo! We’ve had the same logo for 20+ years, and this is just one of the things we’re changing. We know this logo created a lot of buzz and we’re thrilled to see passionate debates unfolding! So much so we’re asking you to share your designs. We love our version, but we’d like to… see other ideas. Stay tuned for details in the next few days on this crowd sourcing project.” *Shudder*

Anyhow, give it a go on “Crap Logo” and enjoy the staleness.
