We were really hoping there would be more time between G2 posts, we really did, so our apologies in advance. But alas, the agency has confirmed that like Julie Spoleti before him (and who knows how many others) Chris Kelly, executive director of G2’s Burbank and San Francisco offices, is moving on to pursue other opportunities.
Some folks are telling us that Kelly, who was leading West Coast ops for almost four years, became “disillusioned with [Wendy Lurrie’s] leadership and are speculating about the future of the LA office after his departure the loss of the Princess Cruise account. The agency, though, tells us that Burbank is not closed, that G2 is actively recruiting to find Kelly’s replacement, that Princess Cruise was always a project assignment which winds down in mid-August and that its Cunard Cruise Line business continues to grow.
Now that a G2 search on AgencySpy has taken up two pages in a matter of months, we’re wondering if it’s time for a moratorium.
