Fuseideas Adds Pair of Executive Creative Directors

By Erik Oster

Boston-based independent agency Fuseideas hired two new executive creative directors: Darren Bult and Grady Winch.

Bult (pictured, left) will be tasked with overseeing all creative agency operations, while partnering with Winch on clients including Bose, Fox Networks, Connecticut Lottery, Maine Lottery, Visit Big Sky and Earth Shoes, and reporting directly to CEO Dennis Franczak. Winch (pictured, right) will report to Bult and Franczak and manage the creative departments for Fuseideas’ Boston and Portland offices.

“Fuseideas is growing, building the right mix of talent and smarts. Darren and Grady add both — a rich mix of creative innovation, experience and vision,” Franczak said in a statement. “I know together they will do amazing things for our clients, and continue to build the reputation and pedigree of our young, passionately independent agency.”

“Grady and I saw this as a tremendous opportunity to put our creative stamp on an agency that’s continually evolving and innovating,” added Bult. “With a talented creative department and an already impressive list of clients and verticals, we’re looking forward to taking the work and the agency to the next level.”

Bult arrives at Fuseideas after a period as a freelance creative director, following six months in that position with MMB, where he worked on Subway and Carrabba’s. He previously spent over 13 years with Hill Holliday, working with clients including Dunkin’ Donuts, Chili’s, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. After working his way up to the role of associate creative director, he left the agency to go freelance in October of 2014. Before joining Hill Holliday, he spent time as an art director with Arnold Worldwide, Leo Burnett and Mullen.

Winch arrives at the agency from Jack Morton Worldwide, where he spent the past six months serving as a creative director. Before that he spent five years as an associate creative director and copywriter with MMB, following ten months as a freelance creative director and copywriter. That followed over two and a half years as an associate creative director and copywriter with ISM, three and a half years as a creative director and copywriter with Doner and over four and a half years as an associate creative director with Arnold Worldwide. Over the course of his career, Winch has worked with brands including Jet Blue, Emirates Airlines, Four Seasons, Hotels.com and Best Western.
