-Pasadena, CA-based indie agency Ayzenberg Group has welcomed former Dare ECD Philip Khosid as creative director. During his career, Khosid also led creative teams at the likes of Grey and Proximity/BBDO.

-Based solely on reputation, the Sacramento Kings have tapped hometown indie agency MeringCarson to handle creative and digital media for the NBA franchise, which previously worked with various firms on a project basis. While MC is not technically AOR, we’ve been told that the agency will take on a bulk of the Kings’ assignment. First work from MC for the team is expected to break this month.

-We missed this earlier in the week, but Comedy Central has served up this somewhat amusing, and timely, parody of the BBDO-created “It’s Not Complicated” AT&T ads starring Thor’s brother, Loki (above). link

-Mullen and Century 21 have a real estate suggestion for Twitter and its mascot in the wake of the social networking giant going public. link

-WPP has acquired Dallas-based mobile shop, Bottle Rocket. link
