By Kiran Aditham

After four years away from the Carmichael Lynch fold, Marcus Fischer will be rejoining the agency to serve as its first chief strategy officer, effective August 13. Prior to his CL reunion, Fischer (pictured) spent the last four years at fellow Minneapolis operation space150, where he moved up the ladder from VP, account planning to president to ultimately CEO.

Along with his new CSO post at Carmichael Lynch, Fischer will join the agency’s core management team that also includes CEO Mike Lescarbeau, president Doug Spong, CFO/COO Mark Feriancek and CCO Dave Damman. Fischer’s first tour of duty at Carmichael Lynch lasted from 2003-2008, during which time he worked in the agency’s brand planning department.
