First on AgencySpy: Rob Rasmussen Departs R/GA for BBH

By Matt Van Hoven

In an e-mail to coworkers, Rob Rasmussen announced today his departure from R/GA New York for BBH New York. Rasmussen was hired as an ECD, and when he started in July, 2007, was working on the Nike account.

Neither BBH nor R/GA responded to inquiries by the time this story published, but Rasmussen says of BBH, “they are a pretty cool shop comprised of good people too. I am going to try and represent digital over there and help them evolve their creative product.”

To all my friends,

As a lot of you have heard already, today is my last day at R/GA.
I am not a writer but an art director. And kind of a hack at that.
Needless to say I am not good at writing letters like this.
So please forgive…

The last year and a half has been an incredible journey. I feel I have learned something from every single person I have worked with. I have tried my hardest to bring as much to the table as you all do daily. I feel privileged to have been a part of all the incredible Nike work and the ad council effort since I have been here. I will miss y’all.

I am going to the New York office of a London Agency, BBH. While not R/GA, they are a pretty cool shop comprised of good people too. I am going to try and represent digital over there and help them evolve their creative product.

Please keep in touch. Look for me on Facebook, Flickr and (coming soon) Twitter.
Brooke is going to set up drinks a bit from now if you start to miss me too much.
And Lindsay is going to finally set up the Nick Law VS. Robert Rasmussen mud wrestling match, so stay tuned.
