Finally, a Mobile Voice Assistant that Understands Your Fetishes

By Bob Marshall

First, an informal poll: Does anyone with an iPhone 4S actually use Siri? If so, what do you use it for? Thus far, the only “trick” I’ve learned is that you can tell Siri that you’re drunk and it will automatically list every cab company in your immediate vicinity. For some reason, Siri doesn’t understand “I need to call a cab company,” so you’re left with a phone that constantly thinks you’re sauced. Seriously, any more tips are much appreciated.

For those without a 4S comes Vlingo, a new virtual mobile assistant available as an app for iOS, Android, and Blackberry devices. In order to emphasize that Vlingo is an inclusive technology, WPP agency VML has created a series of spots documenting oddballs’ relationship with this service.

So, even if you’re a puppet who might have accidentally knocked up a chihuahua or are a cloyingly optimistic nitrous oxide addict, Vlingo is there for “Whatever You’re Into.” If only Siri was so nonjudgmental. View a few more spots after the jump.
