Though her Facebook ribbing on SNL last week was surely in jest, the community on the leading social networking site still can’t get enough of Betty White. Now that they’ve helped expose her to a whole new audience (though the Snickers ad definitely played a part), Facebook fans are basically saying the sky’s the limit with how much face time the beloved star could have. Yes folks, there is now a Facebook page dedicated to getting Betty White to host next year’s Academy Awards. Though it seems like a longshot at this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if White at least makes an appearance on the 2011 Oscars telecast. Let the power of social media be put to the test.
