Duncan/Channon Picks Up Palms Biz

By Kiran Aditham

The Palms, aka the hotel off the Vegas strip that’s still somewhat run by the Maloof brothers, once played home to a season of The Real World and serves as a haven for celebrity debauchery, has found a new agency partner in San Francisco’s Duncan/Channon. The Bay Area shop, which also works with clients including StubHub and Ancestry.com, has been tapped to lead branding and advertising efforts for the Sin City casino/resort, with the first marketing blitz that includes TV, print, digital, social and OOH expected to launch this fall.

In a statement, Palms executive director of advertising & PR Alana Litavis says, “While we were initially drawn to Duncan/Channon for their category experience with some of the industry’s most prominent hospitality brands, in the end, it was the creative product the team delivered that resonated most with the evolution of our brand.”

We’ve been told that there was a review for the Palms advertising business, which was primarily handled in-house until now (no word on who else participated as of yet).
