David&Goliath Hires Three New Creatives

By Patrick Coffee

D and G DinoLA’s David&Goliath announced the hiring of three new creatives today.

Dino Spadavecchia (above) will serve as GCD at the agency while longtime working partners Chris Hutchinson and Driscoll Reid assume creative director roles.

Spadavecchia most recently held the SVP/CD title at Leo Burnett in Chicago for nearly two years before going freelance in February; while the news of his new job first broke yesterday, he apparently moved west to join D&G back in May.

Hutchinson and Reid arrive from TBWA\Chiat\Day after spending almost two years there as associate creative directors. Their arrival coincides with TBWA’s decision to hire Mark Peters away from Deutsch LA.

Spadavecchia worked on GM for Burnett, and his AD/CD roles at Saatchi LA, GS&P and The Garage included work for Chevrolet, HP, Hyundai, Logitech, Mazda, Nintendo and Toyota. Hutchinson and Reid spent five years working together at W+K’s Tokyo and Portland offices, creating work for Nike and others; more recent work for Chiat includes the Adidas World Cup campaign.

What will the three do at D&G? The release tells us they’ll work on Kia, CA Lottery, VIZIO and several yet-to-be-announced accounts.

More on that soon, then.
