David & Goliath are opening an office in Canada. That’s news. Also, they’ve placed Leo Burnett Toronto’s Israel Diaz as senior vice president, managing partner and creative director of the yet-to-be-opened Toronto shop.
The agency has opened the office to service Kia — a client they recently nabbed from Publicis Canada last year, reports MarketingMag.ca. D&G will work with Kia’s in-house lead communications agency, Innocean Worldwide, which will handle strategic planning and account management.
Diaz will finish up the month of January at Leo Burnett Toronto, where has acted as SVP creative director and managing partner for the last five years. There he handled work for Diageo, Blackberry, Samsung, Visa and Proctor & Gamble.
