CP+B Makes Some Cuts

By Kiran Aditham

It seems to be the theme this week, unfortunately, but we can confirm that Crispin Porter + Bogusky has made some cuts in its Boulder and Miami offices. We’ve been told the agency is “hiring,” but to explain today’s news, we bring you this statement verbatim from the agency’s CEO, Andrew Keller.

“This has been a strong year for CP+B but we must consistently ask ourselves whether we are doing everything possible for our business to run as efficiently and effectively as possible. In preparation for 2013, we are closely focusing on what we believe matters most: creative, strategy and innovation. To do this, we must realign some of our staffing, which will mean eliminating some positions – less than 5% –  most in areas not absolutely essential to our creative product. At the same time, the agency will continue to add key creative, strategic and digital positions. We certainly don’t take any of these decisions lightly, especially since they involve colleagues and friends. As we continue to evolve, we will always look to find the best ways to meet and exceed the needs of our clients and we are confident that the steps we are taking do just that.

Andrew Keller
