CP+B London Promotes Flights to Gotham, Metropolis for Turkish Airlines

By Erik Oster

“The CP+B London launched a pair of ads for Turkish Airlines promoting the airline as the “official airline partner” of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which will be released in theaters March 25.

Edited by Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder, the ads, “Fly to Gotham City with Turkish Airlines!” and “Fly to Metropolis with Turkish Airlines!” promote Turkish Airlines as “the airline that flies to more countries than any other” before launching into a pitch for the fictional locations. Ben Afleck as Bruce Wayne touts Gotham as “being restored to its former glory,” thanks to a grant from Wayne Enterprises. In the spot promoting Metropolis, meanwhile, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor points to Luthor’s own generous donations to help rebuild that city. Both spots end with a brief glimpse of action from the upcoming movie. They debuted during the Super Bowl Pregame Show on CBS, for which Turkish Airlines was a presenting sponsor and will roll out globally on February 19 as part of a larger campaign promoting the two fictional destinations. That campaign will also include “a 120-page Time Out guide to Metropolis and Gotham, complete with detailed maps and restaurant reviews—available for sale to fans via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, WH Smith’s and major airports around the world,” CP+B said in a statement.
