CP+B Boulder has hired group strategy director Ethan Decker to oversee Domino’s and other accounts.

Decker arrives at CP+B from Omnicom shopper marketing agency The Integer Group of Lakewood, Colorado. He spent over eight years there, most recently serving as VP of insight and strategy and leading planning on the Kellogg, PepsiCo, MillerCoors, and P&G accounts. Before that he spent two years as insights director with 72andSunny, handling strategy and research for various clients including Discovery, Nike, Quiksilver and Roxy. Decker began his career as an ecologist and earned a PhD in urban ecology and human evolution from the University of New Mexico and also spent time at Boulder ethnographic research firm Radar Communications, where he contributed to global research for Intel and Unilever.

He has presented on marketing science at SXSW, TED and other events.

“What we love most about Ethan is that despite his deep expertise and scientific mind, he’s always willing to throw it all away and invent something completely new,” CP+B chief strategy officer Eric Zuncic, who joined the agency in July of 2015, said in a statement.

“His innate sense of curiosity and creativity, backed by the rigor of real scientific analysis is a rare find in our world. Most importantly, our creatives noted that he is the ‘Perfect amount of weird to help us make great work’ – which is about as good a compliment as I’ve ever heard.”
