Cool: Nike Strives for ‘Better World’ via Website

While we can’t help but be reminded of Poke London’s classic Orange Unlimited effort, this “Better World” web destination from Nike is intriguing and appealing in its own right. It’s a great way to start the new year for the brand and its agency, W+K Portland, which we’ve been told came up with idea for the website, one that doesn’t come off too preachy but shows how sports (and Nike) makes the world a better place.

You can spend quite a while scrolling down the homepage, which is filled with individual sections that offer their own wellspring of content, whether unveiling videos or sending you to a new page to learn how Nike is involved in a variety of environmental and social causes. The self-promotion takes somewhat of a backseat since the mega-brand is asking you the visitor to get involved on Twitter and Facebook. After scrolling down the entire 14,067 pixels, you can sign up for updates on site and other news. We imagine this is only just the beginning of the “Better World” effort.
