Colle+McVoy Welcomes Mark Andersen as Group Creative Director

By Erik Oster

Minneapolis agency Colle+McVoy recently hired Mark Andersen as group creative director.

Andersen joins the agency from Best Buy, where he has spent the last year and a half as senior creative director, leading branding initiatives and social media campaigns for the electronics and appliances chain.

Before going client side, Andersen spent over a year with Minneapolis agency Modern Climate as a creative director, working with brands including Caribou Coffee, Geek Squad, Optum and UnitedHealth Group. Before that he spent nearly five and a half years at Olson as a creative director and copywriter, working with such brands as Minnesota State Lottery, US Bank, Memorex, Medtronic, Discover Boating, Ecolab and Fifth Third Bank. He’s also spent time with Martin Williams and Leo Burnett Chicago as an associate creative director and copywriter, working with brands including Lincoln Financial, eTrade, Payless Shoe Source, Altoids and General Mills.

Andersen’s arrival follows a pair of notable hires for Colle+McVoy over the summer, with executive creative director Laura Fegley and senior strategist Maria Pazos both joining the agency in July. That same month, Colle+McVoy added a piece of new business when it was appointed as agency of record by barbecue chain Famous Dave’s, following a review.
