Colleen DeCourcy Out at TBWA

By Kiran Aditham

We’ve been hearing about this for a week now from spies and since we’re still trying to mend fences with the Chiat camp (whose higher-ups have put duct tape on their reps when we come knocking apparently), we had been unable to confirm that TBWA’s chief digital officer Colleen DeCourcy called it quits. Adweek though has picked up the scoop and notes that DeCourcy has indeed left, though her future plans as well as TBWA’s plans for replacing her are still murky.

Tipsters though allege that DeCourcy, who refuted our story about TBWA\Digital Arts shuttering last month, is headed to Facebook, that Digital Arts is tanking and that its ECD David Lee is now working for Chiat LA but out of NY. Of course, this is still hearsay, but DeCourcy discusses her TBWA experience with Adweek, saying, “It’s a tough, exacting and perfectionist environment and I’m glad that I got to learn that [by working] beside people of that caliber.”

While we’re on the Chiat tip, we’ve noticed that Shaun Rance out of the LA office has already moved on to take the senior user experience designer post at Saatchi & Saatchi and we’ve been told that two more digital staffers on Pepsi are on their way out as well. Stay tuned.
