Colin Drummond Leaves Crispin, Takes Head of Planning Gig at Ogilvy West

By Matt Van Hoven

Until last Friday, Colin Drummond was VP/ Director of Cultural & Business Insights at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Boulder. He resigned at the end of last week and will be moving to Los Angeles. There he’ll take up the head of planning role at Ogilvy West, we’ve confirmed.

Why the funky title switch? Crispin calls planning “cultural and business insights”, which means the department is filled with social scientists, strategists and planners &#151 just like anywhere else.

Ogilvy West consists of two offices, LA and San Francisco. The shops are headed by Heather McPherson and Dan Burrier, and work on clients such as Cisco. Drummond will handle planning responsibilities for both offices.

A CPB representative could not be reached by the time this story was published. No word who will replace Drummond at Crispin. Dust off those resumes. Update: The agency tells us Dagny Scott will replace Drummond. “She has been an amazing and inspiring force since she began 3 years ago.” Scott has led planning for Old Navy, Windows and others.
