Carstens Heads West to SapientNitro

It took two months, but the folks at SapientNitro have finally made it official that John Carstens, former global creative lead on Blackberry while at Leo Burnett Chicago, has joined up with the agency’s Los Angeles office as a CD.

In January, we reported that Carstens, along with Reed Collins and John Greene, had left Leo for various posts. During his whole, solid year at LB, SapientNitro’s new hire also contributed to clients such as Canon Australia and Nintendo. In his new role, Carstens will work alongside VP/CD Anthony Yell and oversee the creative process for SapienNitro’s West Coast clients such as Adobe, Bare Escentuals, and Sony. As for resume rundown, prior to his Leo Burnett gig, Carstens led Reebok and Wrigley accounts in the U.S. while at DDB Chicago and was once a CD at Cramer-Krasselt as well as a copywriter at TBWA\Chiat\Day LA.
