Carmichael Lynch added to its creative department with the addition of Josh Leutz as group creative director.

Leutz joins the agency from Richmond-based The Martin Agency, where he has served as vice president, creative director for the past year, leading work on Microsoft, Chips Ahoy! and Ritz Crackers. Before joining The Martin Agency he spent nearly four and a half years with Butler Shine Stern & Partners as a creative director, designing a new global brand platform for BMW MINI, overseeing recruitment efforts for Google and attempted to send the Priceline Negotiator to a fiery death. Prior to that he spent a year as an associate creative director at McKinney, working with brands including Travelocity and EAS Sports Nutrition.

The appointment follows the promotion of Marty Senn, who joined the agency from GS&P as an executive creative director in early 2013, to the role of chief creative officer last December.

“We’re thrilled Josh has joined us here in Minneapolis,” said Senn. “Josh aligned with our vision right away and saw the huge opportunity ahead of us with a growing roster of clients that are hungry for great work. I can’t wait to see what he does at CL with his combination of talent and leadership.”
