Canuck Takes ‘World’s Greatest Salesperson’ Title

By Kiran Aditham

Guess being “an international performance coaching and training expert” paid off as Edmonton’s own Todd Herman was picked as “World’s Greatest Salesperson” at Cannes today. Herman beat out Tampa-based Eric Polins and former Panasonic marketing exec Lee Abbas for the prize, which includes that three-month fellowship at OgilvyOne.

What will this fellowship entail? Well, Herman’s main duty is to help craft a “sales guide for the 21st century,” which will be presented at the Direct Marketing Association’s annual conference on October 11 in San Francisco. Woo-hoo? Overall, the red brick-selling competition generated over 230 submissions on YouTube from 12 countries, more than 100,000 visits to the YouTube brand channel, and 90,000+ video views.
