Canadian Ad All-Stars Interview at Blammo Worldwide

By Bob Marshall

Canada: A mystical land to the north where dating a hockey player will actually improve your social standing.

But, did you know that Canada also has an ad scene of its own? Yes, in some ways, Canada is just like us! One agency in particular, Toronto’s Blammo Worldwide, has taken it upon itself to highlight some of Canada’s biggest players in advertising in a mockumentary announcing its new managing director, Christine McNab (formerly of DraftFCB, Nestle, Kraft, and Eli Lily), and new CSO, Ritchie Emslie (formerly working as a consultant on Coca-Cola at Alpha Zulu Kilo).

The zany execs featured in the video include Arthur Fleischmann (partner/president at John St), Geoffrey Roche (founder of Toronto’s Lowe Roche), Frank Palmer (founder of DDB Canada), Bill Durnan (president of Cossette) and Aldo Cundari (chairman CEO at Cundari Toronto). Say what you will about their acting skills, but these guys sure seem to get along nicely, don’t they? Maybe it’s just the way they do things in Canada, or maybe something more sinister is brewing across the border…
