Campbell Mithun Adds to Healthcare Roster

By Kiran Aditham

As we continue watching tumbleweed roll by today, which we presume is a result of many people are already getting the hell out of Dodge for Thanksgiving, we might as well tell you that Campbell Mithun has followed up its KeyBank win from a weeks ago by picking up the account for health insurance company, Wellmark.

Minneapolis-based CM beat out eight other agencies in a “competitive” pitch for what’s properly known as Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, which serves over two-million members in Iowa and South Dakota and has worked with the likes of Kansas City’s Nicholson Kovac (RIP?) in the past. The other agencies involved weren’t disclosed by the company. Sources familiar with the matter tell us, though, that there was no incumbent as Wellmark has been working with “several” agencies on a project basis for some time. As a result of the account win, Campbell Mithun adds to its healthcare client roster that currently includes Airborne, Sonovian brands and the Mayo Clinic.
