Campbell Ewald Adds New Senior Hire to Lead Creative Strategy Departments

Campbell Ewald appointed Wojtek Szumowski as director of invention strategy, responsible for leading and overseeing the creative strategy departments across Campbell Ewald’s offices, and implementing a new approach for the agency dubbed “Invention Strategy.” He will report directly to president Kevin Wertz and chief creative officer Mark Simon

Szumowski arrives at the agency from CP+B, where he most recently served as executive vice president, invention strategy & poetic technology. He originally arrived at CP+B in June of 2004, working as vice president, group director cognitive and cultural studies before transferring to Europe to serve as executive vice president, group creative strategy director in February of 2010. While with CP+B he worked with brands such as Volkswagen, Virgin Atlantic, IKEA, Hulu, Burger King, Coke ZERO and Microsoft. Prior to joining CP+B, he served as vice president, strategic planning at McCann WorldGroup for three years, following a three year stint as senior account planner with McCann-Erickson.
