Called It: Denuo Takes Over as Kia’s Web AOR

Good on ya, AdAge, let’s raise a toast for confirming the scenario we presented 10 days ago, mainly that Denuo has taken over as web agency of record for Kia, something that seems to have been in the works for well over a month now. As a result of taking over the Kia web biz, which had included the likes of Santa Monica-based Blitz and L.A.’s Meredith Xcelerated Marketing, Denuo is tasked with developing “a completely redesigned website for Kia to enhance the car buying research and shopping process with more images, videos and creative content.”

Regarding the decision to go with Publicis Groupe-owned Denuo, David Schoonover, national manager of CRM & digital marketing for Kia Motors America says,  “As awareness, perception and consideration for the Kia brand continues to improve, the evolution of Kia.com is vital to the brand’s growth, and Denuo has offered fresh new ideas and insights and proven they can help us navigate these transitions and further our momentum.”

No worries on David&Goliath’s front as the El Segundo, CA agency will keep its longstanding relationship with Kia intact.
