Blast Radius Welcomes Westside/Eastside ECDs

By Kiran Aditham

Former StrawberryFrog creative director Serena Connelly, with Bjork-like outfit and all, has joined the ranks of WPP-owned Blast Radius as executive creative director at its East Coast operation, which translates into its New York office. Connelly spent 18 months at the Frogpond’s NY office, serving as creative director on the Pampers business and creating mobile apps for the P&G brand including “Hello Baby.” The creative has some history with P&G, having spent six years at Leo Burnett as senior copywriter on Tampax and Always. In addition, Connelly had various ACD/CW posts at the likes of Publicis Dialog, Ogilvy, Arc Worldwide and Digitas.

Now that we have the East Coast covered, let’s shift the Blast Radius news to the West as the agency hired Mark Waggoner as ECD in its Portland office. Waggoner’s 25-year ad career is dotted with stints at Razorfish (where he spent the last two years as ECD), W+K and Cole & Weber way back when.
