Bernstein-Rein Appoints New Group Creative Director

Kansas City-based agency Bernstein-Rein appointed Bryan Michurski to the newly-created role of group creative director. The move follows the arrival of executive creative director David Smith from RPA last August.

Michurski joins the agency from Minneapolis-based startup Saints & Hooligans, where he served as creative director for two years. Prior to that he spent eight years as owner/creative director of Bedlam Hooligan, working with clients including Best Buy, Noodles and Company, Office Max and Sun Country Airlines. Before striking out on his own he spent around a year and a half as group creative director with Colle+McVoy, where he led the re-introduction of Indian Motorcycle. That followed a year as creative director with Olson and ten years with Martin Williams as an associate creative director. While with Martin Williams, he worked with brands including Target, Coleman, U.S. Bank, Sorel Boots, E-Trade, Payless Shoe Source, Polaris Industries and Staples Office Supply, working on that brand’s first Super Bowl spot.

“Bryan is a game-changing addition to our team and his hire reflects our commitment to re-engineer the agency and the BR brand,” said Smith. “Our passion is to connect consumers with brands in ways that stick, which is what Bryan has been doing his entire career for some of America’s coolest brands. And, as a triple-threat of Creative Director/Strategist/Director, he fits perfectly into our entrepreneurial culture.”
