Being Stuck on Hold at Creature Now Slightly Less Annoying

By Kiran Aditham

Being stuck on hold is the bane of many one’s existence, but Seattle-based Creature is trying to make the arduous wait slightly more entertaining, dare we say enlightening. Instead of the bland, annoying automated voice message, Creature’s in-house creatives produced two looping tracks to occupy those calling into the office. The first cut, dubbed “This Next Telephone Conversation,” uses fairly generic beats and some bloke seemingly spouting Tyler Durden-isms.

According to Shots, the agency conducted a few focus groups it discovered that guess what,  people don’t like boring, terrible elevator music while they wait. Regarding the new tunes, Creature CCO Jim Haven tells the site, “I think they are just stupid enough to be funny. I challenged the creative team to compose some new music for our hold music and the brief was completely open.” If you don’t feel like actually giving Creature a call, take a listen at what you would be in store for below.
