BBH Global CCO Leaves to Focus on Neogama

BBH global chief creative officer Alexandre Gama is leaving his position to focus on Sao Paulo-based Neogama (formerly Neogama/BBH), the agency he founded in 1999, which will now operate as a standalone Publicis-owned agency, AdAge reports. Gama already served as CEO and chief creative officer for Neogama. A BBH spokeswoman in London told the publication that the agency will name a new global CCO in the near future.

Gama told AdAge that Neogama will continue to have an operational agreement with BBH, and will work with BBH and other Publicis clients on a case-by-case basis. He will also pursue outside passions in cars and music, focusing on VIOLAB, a company he founded a few years ago with guitarist Ulisses Rocha to promote guitar playing talent in Brazil and BAC, a U.K. specialist sports car company he has invested in. He added that he’s “considering new ventures in the areas of technology and design.”

“Neogama will be part of Publicis Communications in Brazil and I am convinced that its contribution to our growth and reputation will be stellar,” Publicis Groupe Chairman-CEO Maurice Levy said in a statement.
