BBDO Atlanta Confirms Florida Citrus Win

BBDO has confirmed what we first reported on last week, officially announcing that the Atlanta office has been named the AOR for the Florida Citrus Commission. After a six-month review of 15 agency proposals, an evaluation committee comprised of commissioners, an independent grower and Florida Department of Citrus staffers finally picked BBDO over incumbent The Richards Group.

Agency folks tells us that BBDO Atlanta, which also handles national brand assignments for AT&T, HP, ING and REI, has won 9 out of 11 of its most recent pitches in which it was a finalist. The Florida Citrus spending estimate for 2009 was $20+ million according to Nielsen.
