P&G,, W+K and the rest of the gang at the soiree at Cipriani’s 42nd street location knew what was coming. Yes, the Grand Effie was awarded to the agency, the brand and somewhere, maybe Isiah Mustafa as well as everyone else who’s taken part in Old Spice’s “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like.” Hell, it motivated yours truly to buy some Swagger. While the agency involved, W+K, took home the big prize, the Portland-based operation tied BBDO for the most Gold Effie wins with four each at the gala. From what our sources tell us, final results were decided upon by 2pm today, but we all know who was obviously winning. Still, there’s always more open bar and food to await everyone who’s headed to Cannes, so enjoy the frivolity and the inevitable pick(s) for the Lions.
