Someone Down Under really loves Game of Thrones. Like, more than you do.

First there was the DDB New Zealand (not the same country, we know) stunt in which fans’ tweets brought down the much-hated, now-late King Joffrey.

Today we learned, via our sister site GalleyCat, that a completely unrelated agency called Common Ventures plans to manufacture an entire line of wines paying tribute to the various families of Westeros–yes, even the Greyjoys.

Agency Founder/Creative Jane Burhop recently told PSFK (which also happens to be the new home of our own former editor) that there was a good bit of strategy involved:

“The reds are all associated with the houses that are head strong and robust. The whites on the other hand are more cunning, perceptive and mysterious.”

As for the real purpose of this project, CV says that it wants the reds and whites, which will be produced by local wineries, to be part of the viewing experience. But if the whole thing was really just an SEO stunt doubling as a way to inspire endless versions of the same headline, we’d call it successful:

GoT Media

Somewhere, Ommegang is reminding everyone that they’ve been making GoT beer since 2012.
