Arnold Appoints Global Chief Strategy Officer

Arnold Worldwide appointed Ed Castillo as global chief strategy officer. In the newly-created position, Castillo will partner with global chief creative officer Jim Elliot and work closely with executive vice president, global director, business strategy & analytics, corporate strategy Nisha Dass while reporting directly to Arnold global president Pam Hamlin

Castillo joins the agency from TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, where he has served as chief strategy officer since June of 2012 and led pitches on brands including GoDaddy, Thomson Reuters and Travelers Insurance. Prior to joining TBWA\Chiat\Day, he spent around a year and a half serving as senior vice president, global strategy director at McCann Worldgroup, where he led strategy on the brand reinvigoration of American Airlines, following chapter 11 reorganization. Before that he spent over four years as senior vice president, director of account planning at PHD Media, working with clients such as HBO, Starbucks, Google, Gap and TRUTH. He also spent a year as a planning director at North and three years as director of account planning with R&R Partners.
