Advocacy Group Urges PETA to Lose the Campaign

As the diligent Onion News Network sardonically yet astutely reports, PETA’s campaign efforts could come back to bite ’em where the cows don’t graze.

Today comes news that an advocacy group called the Obesity Action Coalition has called on PETA to immediately cease its pro-veggie initiative that includes the controversial billboard attached with the copy “Save the Whales – Lose the Blubber: Go Vegetarian.”

Joseph Nadglowski, President/CEO of the OAC, which boasts about 12,000 members, states, “This campaign blatantly stigmatizes the overweight and obese. The OAC fails to find the informational value of promoting vegetarianism through the hurtfulness of mocking the obese.”
