Ad Women Go Up On Auction Block for Good Cause

By Kiran Aditham

Chris Wiggins, a former Crispin creative who joined Google Creative Labs this summer, needs your help. His mother Karen, who’s been teaching kids to read in a small village in Tanzania, has developed an “unstable angina” (heart situation) and has less than a month to live without an expensive trip to a modern hospital and either an angioplasty or coronary bypass surgery. She has no insurance or way to pay for it.

To do their part, several women from the ad world are putting themselves up on the auction block to help raise money,  “be it a cocktail or a concert you’re bidding on, rest assured you’ll be entertained (that doesn’t mean they’ll put out).” You can read more on the “Mad (Wo)men for Wiggins” site and also find out how to donate through Wiggins’ own Posterous blog.
