72andSunny Welcomes Creative Pair

By Michael Musco

CD’s Mick DiMaria and Justin Hooper recently climbed aboard the 72andSunny boat. Both chaps arrive from MZA where they were creative directors for accounts including Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s, and Farmer John’s.

While at MZA, DiMaria notably authored the Carl’s Jr. commercial featuring Paris Hilton devouring a Six-Dollar Burger while washing a Bentley, and Hooper authored the Padma Western Bacon Cheeseburger commercial, along with the infamous “Flat Buns” spot. They also won TBS’s “Funniest Commercial of the Year” award last year for their launch of Hardees biscuit holes better known as A. Hole vs. B. Hole.

DiMaria seems pretty enthusiastic about his new post, issuing a statement that reads, “I don’t get outwardly excited too often, but I am literally jumping out of my skin. 72andSunny is destroying it and I’m really happy to be part of the team.”
